Major League Gaming Internship Projects
These brackets were made to be used when showing what round it is during a tournament. All 5 of these were fully animated coming on and off the screen. I modeled, animated and lit this in Maya and textured this in Photoshop. This took a little over a week to finish. I will upload a video soon with all the renders combined to show the animation.
Green Screen Background
This was to be used for a green screen background. The glowing lights in the scene were animated to have something going on so it doesn't look like a still image. I modeled, animated, and lit this in Maya and textured this in Photoshop. This took me about 4 days to finish. I will upload a video soon with all the renders combined to show the animation.
These were to be used when showing the top 5 matches in a game. When the gameplay footage was showing the corresponding bracket will show up during the video and a certain title or name ( which was added on after in final cut by a video editor ) would be put on the blue and red section of the bracket. I modeled, animated and lit this in Maya and textured this in Photoshop. This took me about a week to finish. I will upload a video soon with all the renders combined to show the animation.
This was to be used at the beginning of their videos to show off the logo. The white background was suppose to be something else to be added on after by a video editor. I modeled, animated and lit this in Maya and textured this in Photoshop. This took me a little over 2 weeks to finish. I will upload a video soon with all the renders combined to show the animation.
Pro Circuit Shield Transitions
This shield was to be used to transition from one video footage to another. I made 5 different animated transitions that were about 1 second long. I modeled, animated and lit this in Maya and textured this in Photoshop. The design for the shield was already made by someone else I just made it in 3D. I will upload a video soon with all the renders combined to show the animations.
Intro Title Screens
These were to be used for MLG's play of the day and match highlights intro title screens. The concept art in the background and the logo for both games were not done by me. They were either provided to me or I found them on the internet. What I did do was model, animate and light the MLG logo, 3D letters and a fog and textured this in Photoshop. The background, game logo, and fog were all 2D planes but the planet in the starcraft play of the day title screen I made into a 3D sphere with the same texture of the planet in the concept art. This took me about a day to do. I will upload a video soon with all the renders combined to show the animation.
Creatures Done for Internship ( February 2012 to July 2012 )
These creatures were all done while I was doing my internship for Morningside Entertainment. Each creature took about 2 to 3 weeks to complete doing about 4 hours monday through friday. This work consisted of me modeling and sculpting geometry ( modeling done in Maya and sculpting done in Z-Brush ) , Laying out UV's ( done in Maya ) , generating normal maps from high resolution model ( done in maya ) , texturing ( done in Photoshop ) , and rigging and posing for render ( done in Maya ). The first 4 pictures are my render shots of my creatures and the rest are screenshots that display different angles of the creatures.
T-Rexion with Concept ( Early 2010 )
This character model is a blend between a T-Rex and a scorpion. I modeled this in maya and textured this in photoshop in a month. I also used the program Z-Brush to do my normal maps and sculpt this character.
Concept Art / Drawings
Here are some of my Concept Art / Drawings that I have done recently. Almost all of these drawing were scanned from my sketchbook and the T - Rexion one was done using Photoshop. Some of these were done when I was still doing my internship with Morningside Entertainment. The ones that I did for the internship was what I based my final creature to look like and some of them I didn't get to make in 3D.
Environment / Weapon Props
